Daycare & Playground Turf at Graceview Baptist in Tomball, TX
Graceview Baptist Church’s Early Learning Center in Tomball needed a clean, playable surface around its new playground. Here’s what we installed and how it turned out.
| Location | Graceview Baptist, Tomball, TX |
| Project | Daycare play area and playground lawn |
| Size | 1,000–3,000 sq ft |
| Turf | Real Turf with antimicrobial infill |
| Base | Compacted decomposed granite base |
| Timeline | 3–5 days |
The Problem
Graceview Baptist Church’s Early Learning Center had just finished a large new playground, with a big play structure and a bike and trike track. The ground around it was still bare dirt that turned to mud after rain. Turf was the last step to make the whole area playable.
What We Built
We replaced the play area and the lawn in front of the playground with artificial turf, including the area under the daycare’s picnic tables. We built the turf on a compacted decomposed granite base, so the area holds up to daily play and dries quickly after rain. The finished surface stays green, clean and usable every day of the school year, with no mowing or watering.
